Do I need any prior experience on stage?

How much does it cost?
​
Every person who performs on stage in any CentreStage Rolleston production is asked to
pay a show levy which allows you to be fully involved with the show. The show levy
for this production is $90 which includes a CentreStage Rolleston Newsies Jr t-shirt.
Is there an age limit for this show?

Auditions are open to anyone aged between 12 and 18 at the time of auditions. We are unfortunately not able to make any exceptions.
What do I need to prepare?

This audition will be held in a workshop format. No prior preparation is required, and all material will be provided and taught during the workshop. Please bring along a drink bottle and comfortable clothing for movement.
Occasionally the creative team would like to see more from individual auditionees. If you are considering a lead role, please also prepare a 30 second song prepared as we may ask you to perform this on the day. Please note that being asked to sing or not is not in any way indicative of casting choices!
Choose a song to sing that you know well and that best suits your voice. Please bring a backing track where appropriate or sing a capella, it’s up to you.
