Bonnie & Clyde
July 2022

CentreStage Rolleston is thrilled to announce the first show of our 2022 season, Bonnie & Clyde

At the height of the Great Depression, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow went from two small-town nobodies in West Texas to America's most renowned folk heroes and Texas law enforcement's worst nightmares. Fearless, shameless and alluring, Bonnie & Clyde is their electrifying story of love, adventure and crime, accompanied by a Tony-nominated score combining blues, gospel and rockabilly music.

Disney's High School Musical Jr
October 2022

CentreStage Rolleston is thrilled to open auditions for our 2022 Youth Musical,
Disney's High School Musical Jr.

Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

Based on Disney’s 2006 hit movie-musical of the same name, Disney’s High School Musical Jr is a classic tale of love, friendship, and acceptance, full of catchy songs and electrifying dances.

Welcome to CentreStage Rolleston

CentreStage Rolleston was formed in 2018, and produces three major theatre shows each calendar year.

The annual CentreStage Rolleston season includes a musical, a
drama, and a season of youth theatre, each brought together by dozens of volunteers and thousands of volunteer hours.

Our mission: provide a platform for people in the performing arts community to be involved in all facets of theatre, and provide a local performing arts attraction for audiences of all ages to enjoy.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Under the Covid-19 Protection Framework (the ‘traffic light’ system) coming into effect 12:00am, 3 December 2021, indoor events such as performances will require people entering their premises to be fully vaccinated in order to operate to their maximum capacity at each level. This also enhances safety for all people entering the premises.

CentreStage Rolleston is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our volunteers and our audience members. Additionally, the CentreStage Rolleston performance venue (Rolleston College) has mandatory restrictions from the NZ government.

This means that we require all cast, crew, and audience members (over the age of 12yrs and 3 months) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and we are required to ask for proof of vaccination or proof of exemption. We understand that this information may be disappointing or frustrating to some of you. However, this course of action enables us to continue to prioritise the wellbeing of every person who interacts with us. We ask for your patience and consideration when interacting with our staff and volunteers who may be required to enforce these rules.

CentreStage Rolleston Youth Fund

$1 from every ticket sold to a CentreStage Rolleston show goes into the CentreStage Rolleston Youth Fund, which is dedicated to facilitating a wide range of opportunities for growth, learning, and experience to local young performers and theatre volunteers.
